Troubled Projects

PROGGEX Project Management professionals have extensive experience as project “fixers”—brought into the middle of a troubled project to organize the chaos and get everything and everyone back on track. Projects can get derailed for a number of reasons, but from our experience these are the main culprits:

  • Project was framed incorrectly. Poor design and planning leads to poor execution.
  • Ad hoc Project Management. The organization lacks standardized methodologies and processes forcing them to reinvent the wheel with each new project. Every Project Manager follows his own idiosyncratic method, which means no consistent, repeatable or measurable outcomes.
  • Wrong person serving as Project Manager. The project leader has little Project Management expertise, lacks perspective from not being able to see the forest for the trees, and/or has too many other in-house responsibilities and can’t maintain focus on the project.
  • In-house politics. Departmental turf wars and interpersonal conflicts can bog down a project, if not lead to failure.
Projects outsourced to PROGGEX are led by objective Project Managers who are experts in PMI-certified methodologies—standardized processes and procedures ensuring that projects are framed, planned and executed correctly to deliver successful, repeatable and measurable outcomes. We’re also independent. Vendor relationships don’t influence our recommendations.
