Stressful 2008 May Lead to Project Management Growth
Despite Reports of Economic Slowdown, PROGGEX’s Diverse Clients Continue Moving Forward with Major Project Implementations

(Clearwater, FL) -- April 8, 2008 – The credit crunch, housing bubble and unemployment woes have made nationwide economic growth in 2008 tough to find. But a project management expert in Florida believes that 2008 isn’t a complete wash for all active US corporations and predicts that 2009 will bring an upturn in the economic affairs of many, particularly when it comes to building on the success of carefully executed projects throughout 2008.

Jim Stroh, president of PROGGEX, says his company works across many sectors so he’s able to take the pulse of a variety of industries. His company is continuing to see double digit growth in revenue, and believes the economy will rebound next year or sooner.

“We keep hearing the economy is faltering, but while there has been a reported downturn, we’re seeing an increase in corporate growth across the board,” Stroh said. “We haven’t experienced the slowdown with our clients. We’re working with organizations from Tennessee to California to Central America and across both bordering oceans.”

Stroh has observed a pattern among the corporations that are staying strong despite today’s uncertain economic climate. “The high-performing organizations succeeding today are those practicing sound strategy execution, resource allocation, portfolio management and project management. The numbers tell us the economy is in trouble, but I’m finding many businesses that haven’t lost momentum and continue moving forward.”

Trend: Outsourced Functions Moving Back Stateside
Stroh also cites a trend among many organizations he’s working with to bring more of the functions they have been outsourcing over the past six or seven years – such as business process management and customer contact centers – back stateside. “The cost savings realized by these firms was in many cases offset by a decrease in customer satisfaction,” he continued. “High performing companies realized that quick hit expense reductions are not long term performance solutions, and have returned to more customer-centric strategies. We are just beginning to see the effects of this trend in planning as major projects to move business operations back to North America kicked off in 2008,” Stroh said.

Stroh has 26 years of experience in information and telecommunication systems. Prior to PROGGEX, he was founder and president of The Stroh Group, a C-level strategic consulting services firm.
